London, July 8. i Mr Davitt, Bpeaking at Glasgow, challenged his opponent to prosecute him and Mr Faruell on charges of murder and conspiracy, as the only course to properly sift tho charges levied against him. He admitted that the subordinate leaders of the League had committed graves crimes, but denied that MrParnell or his followers were guilty. He regretted that crimes had been.committed, and said they were the work of a desperate body of men.

July 12. In the House of Commons last night the Bight Hon, W, H. Smith said the Government were willing to appoint a commission mainly composed of Judgeß, to inquire into the Times' charges against Mr Parnell. 7th July. A stronger squadron will endeavor to blockade a fleet under Admiral Tryon and Captain Fitzroy after the conclusion of the celebration in connection with the tereentary of the Spanish Armada on the 19th inst.
