EVENING SITTING.
In the Evening Sitting the' Premier in answer to a question, said there was no truth in the report that the Imperial authorities had vetoed the Governent Salary and Allowance Bill.
The statement was received with cheers. The question of filling up tho vacant judgeship was brought up for discussion by Mr Seddon. The Premier in the courre ot some very emphatic remarks, said the Cabinet had decided not to appoint anyone to tho vicant office untill after next session. The Imprest Supply Bill (£200,000) was passed through all its stages. The consideration ot the tariff was resumed in Committee, and continued during the remainder of the sitting.
