The discussion on the Customs and Excise Duties Bill has been adjourned until Friday. The motion was made at the request of the Premier.
The Legislative Council's amendments to the " Administration Act Amendment Bill were agreed to.
A discussion took place upon the Legislative Council's amendments to the "Chinese Immigrant's Act Amendment Bill, After a rather lonq discussion it was decided to agree with all the amendments except clause 2, and it motion was mado for a committee to confer with a committee of the Legislative Council, A motion to also except clauses 10,11 and 12 and the schedule was carried. The debate on the second reading of the Fair Rent Bill was resumed, After considerable discussion the second reading was agreed.
