Wellington, Saturday. (!, T. Dijoubese, for many years town clork for North Invercargill was charged at the E.M. Court with the embezzlement of eight shillings. He was remanded till Tuesday bail being refused, the Crown prosecutor staling the total defalcations of accused were very large. Thames, Monday. A bushman named Charles O'Hagan was fouund dead on the Tararu road, yesterday morning, It is supposed that he committed suicide by taking 11 rough on rats." Wellington, June 18. John Clark, carpenter, residing in Brook-street, committed suicide this morning by hanging himself on his back fence, Clark has been separated from his wife some time, and was summoned to appear at Court this morning for disobeying an order of the Court for maintenance. Deceased was 50 years of age and an old resident. New Plymouth, June 18. The Hawea having broken in two, is dismantled, and the hull is lying almost submerged in the harbor. The wreck in no way impedes navigation into the harbor, and the Penguin came in and went alongside tho wharf as usual yesterday. Captain Holford leaves for Wellington on Wednesday to attend an ollicial inquiry which will be held there, the vessel is to be sold by auction on that day,
