Wellington, Monday. Mr Butts, who has been postmaster liere for the last sixteen yearsjkto be transferred to Dunedin, talßg Mr Barr's place, who retires on a pension. It is intended to work the Welliiwton office in connection with the-Jkad office and do away with the oflicb of postmaster, Mr Hoggard, chief clerk, will he in charge, hut will not be oalled postmaster.
