Messrs Freeman B, Jackson and Co.'s (Jolmsonville) stock report:— The cattle yarded on Wednesday were from good to medium quality, and some very light weights. The bidding was brisk throughout, and prices improved as the sale progressed. Sheep were in average numbers, but no ewes came forward. Bacon pigs were well competed for, and so were fat porkers, but store pigs were at lower values. Ox beef made 16s the 1001b, and some light bullocks up to 18s; cow beef 12s 64; wether mutton 2d lb. Prices realised wereßest Wanganui bullocks £sl7s (id to £0 15s; average £6 Is Gd; a draft from Palmewton L 5 7s Gd to £6 12s Gd, averaging £5 18s Gd; a line from Wairarapa of medium quality, £5 7s 6d to £sl7s Gd. with an average of £5 8s; and a truck of very light steers from Ashurst made £4 15s to £slos, averaging £5 8s; cows ■£3 12s Gd; veal calves 17s to 28s; ox, 20s each ■; wethers lis 2d to lis 8d; bacon pigs 38s to 465; smaller sorts, 28s to 85s; porkers, lGs to 20s 3d; stores7sto 12s Gd,
