Fashionable Wedding at St. Andrew's Church.

A large and fashionable congregation assembled at St. Andrew's Church yesterday afternoon, the occasion being the marriage of Mr H. S. Valentine, M.H.R, for the Waikaia constituency, to Miss Wilhelmina Margraf Liuck, daughter of the lato Captain Linck, of the German Imperial yacht, who only arrived in Wellington by the Tongariro on Saturday last. A little before 2 p in., the bridegroom, attended by Mr Lougkey, member for Linwood, who acted as groomsman arrived at the Church, and punctually at 2 the bride entered the Churcli leaning on the arm of Sir Maurice O'Rorke, Speaker of the House of Kepresentalives, who subsequently gave her away. Following closely came Miss Reid of North Taieri (sialer-in-law of Mr T, Fergus, Mil. 11), who was the only bridesmaid, and Mr and Mrs Fergus. The bride was attired in a very handsome costume with a long train of cream satin, trimmed wiih coffeecolored tullo, which was covered with gold embroidery. She wore a bridle veil of white tnlle, and in her hair a wreath of orange blossoms was fastened with a diamond rose. She also wore a gold necklet set with diamonds and rubies, Miss Reid, the bridesmaid, was dressed in pale blue fancy Liberty silk, and pale blue bonnet to match, She also wore a diamond and pearl broach, the gifc of thebridegroom. Both the bride and bridesmaid carried magnificent boquets in silver holders, also gifts from the bridegroom. Amongst the principal guests were Mrs Fergus, who wore a handsome costume of crimson silk with bonnet to match, and Mrs Fisher, who wore a black striped uierveilleux, The Premier and nearly all the Ministers were present, and also a large gathering of members of both Houses of Parliament, The Rev, G. S. Ogg, pastor of St Andrew's Church, porformed the marriage service, appropriate hymns being sung immediately before and after the ceremony. As the wedding party left the Church, Mr 0. H. Pievard, who conducted the choral service played the " Wedding March" (Mendelsohn). On leaving the Church the party drove to the residence of Mr Fergus, where the wedding breakfast was served, Mr and Mrs Valentine left by train for Masterton last evening, en route for Waiwera, where they will spend thoiv honey-wooa,-N.15.
