A Nelson Silver Boom
Nelso.v, May 11. News received in town to-night states there is considerable excitement at tho Owen respecting the silver lode discovered there. Eight claims of 80 acres have been pegged off by ten different parties, and there was a race to get the applications in. The claims extend from one mile from the lefthand branch ofthe Owen river through the limestone country towards the mountain and Mangapeke. The lode is said to be three feet thick, and the ore is reported to ho rioli.
