A Terrible Domestic Tragedy.

Early last Saturday morning a woman murdered her child and then committed suicide at Sheffield. She was the wife of Win. Richards, a steel worker. He and his eldest boy were at work all Friday night. The son returned home on Saturday morning, and was surprised to find that the house was closed, as if his mother was not up. Going into her bed-room, hp was horrified to find his mother in bed with her throat out; his sister, a child two years old, had also her throat cut but a little brother who was in' the same bed was uninjured. A policeman was summoned, and on his going into the bedroom he found that Mrs Richards was still alive. Asking her who had done it, she nodded hor head. She died a few minutes afterwards. The child died on Saturday night.
