Johnsonville, May 2. Messrs Freeman E, Jackson and Co. report at their. Johnsonville stock sale that the beef entered was of medium quality and of light weight; Prices improved on those of last sale,' and. the bidding was fairly brisk throughout. The sheep penned were nearly all ewes, and made better prices. Pigs came forward in the usual numbers, maintaining late rates. Cattle-bullocks, L 5 5s to L 5 10s, average L 5 Bs, or 14 to 14s Gel the lOOlbs, Sheep—fat ewes 8s Id; mixed sheep, light weights, 8s 5d to 8s 9d; culls 6s to 7s 2d. Pigs—baconers, 28s to 40s; porkers 17s to 225; stores, lis Gd to lGs; small pigs 2s Gd to Gs.
