Castlepoint Road Board.
A meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday last. Present—Messrs Maunsell (Chairman), Langdon, Elder, and Andrew. The Treasurer's report was read. Corresnondence—From County Clerk, re County roads, From same, asking if the Board will grant a sum towards metalling between Tinui and Mungapakeha. From Alfredton Road Board, re wire rope and cradle at Upper Whareama Bridge. Mr Morrison, ro Blackliill road. Messrs Langdon Bros., applying for timber on the road lino in Makirikiri. From Mr a. Cameron, agreeing to fence in the line of road from main road to Rewe. ltewe. Report on the settlement of accounts in dispute was read. From Mr A. McHutchon, re County Engineer's letter on road work on Uriti line. Resolved—That Mr Beard, of Masterton, be appointed to act as solicitor for the Board ie the purchase of the Blackliill line. That the report of the referees re disputed accounts be adopted, The Clerk was directed to reply to the Council, stating that the Board had deferred voting any money for metalling 011 the main road, pending the result of tho poll for the £3OOO loan,'
