The Hon H. Chamberlin Found Drowned, Auckland, Monday!' The Hon H. Chamberlin was found drowned in a waterhole near Drury, He has really been missing since Thursday last, hut it was supposed he had returned to Auckland. Ho had gone to Drury to look alter some properly belonging to him there, and on Thursday last went out with a spade and bucket, Telegrams arriving from Mrs Chamberlin inquiring when he was coming home, aroused the suspicion that something was wrong, and a search resulted in finding the body. Death, it is supposed, was purely accidental through him falling into a pit or rude well.
Shocking Sudden Death. Gbevmoutii, Monday. Joseph Payne, for many years clerk for Grey County, was found dead at his private residence this morning, sitting in a chair by the fire. The supposed cause of death is apoplexy.
