Another Wreck at Waikanai, All Hands Saved. Wellington, Monday. A telegram from the Press Association's agent at Otnki states that the barque Weatherslield isashore between Waikanai and Ohau rivers. She came ashore about 4 a.m. yesterday. All hands, including captain and officers, have safely landed. Tho latest news from the vessel is that she is rising with the seas as they strike hor. It is thought measures aro taken at once she can be floated with the coming spring tides, which are on Wednesday next. The Weatherslield was bound from Brisbano to-Lyttelton, in ballast, Steamboat Collision, / Auckland, Monday, V The s.s. Tangihua was anchored in the fairway of the Wairoa river on Saturday morning, when she was run into by the s.s. Durham and sunk, There was a thick tog at the time, and no was on board the Tangihua, fflT Hiewmham got clear, The wrecked m vessel was uninsured. f Fearful Storm at Sea, The Brigantine Gleaner, from Oaruapu, reports that on 2Gth ultimo the man at tlia wheel was washed overboard, but was rescued with difficulty by means of a line. On the evening of the 7th the wind chopped round to S.S.E., and blew with hurricane force. At midnight, the vessel was under bare poles, the captain being lashed to the wheel. At one o'clock in the morning, a great broken sea swept thedecks fore andaft,stove in the water tanks, filled tho cabin, washed over about 100 bags of bones, and r swept the captain and the mate overboard, The former was found towing astern by a line to which lie had made himself fast when at the wheel, and was hauled aboard, The mate, Charles Brown, was not recovered.
