R.M. COURT.
CARTERTON-TUESDAY, (Before S. Von Sturmer R.M., and B. Boys and R. Fairbrother, J.P.'s.) .' . Creating a Disturbance. G. Kiddie, J. Dalton. H. and F. Prebersen, and F. Stevens, were charged by Constable Darby, with creating a disturbance in the Lyceum Hall, during tlie Cantata on the nigbt of February 24th. Mr Beard for accused. After hearing., evidence, Kiddie was fined 5s and 21s,solicitor'8 fee. The other foar were dismissed with a caution. Neighbourly Quarrel. Henry Burgess v. W. and 'Mrs Hoppy. Mr Beard for plaintiff, and Mr Poivnall for defendants. Mr Pownall asked for an adjournment till: next sitting, to enable his clients to enter into a cross action against the plaintiff for firing oft a gun into their premises, and shooting their fowls. The adjournment was granted, defendants being bound over to keep the peace during the recess. Civil Case. Cr. Meikleson v. E. Butler.—Claim, £7 8s for work done. Mr Pownall for plaintiff; Mr Beard for defendaut. A set off for £7, balance due for a bay mare was allowed, and judgment was given for defendant with costs 3s, and solicitor's fee, 21s.
