TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—The person who writeyinder the abovo nom de plume of the rogue who affected piety in order to keep himself out of the stocks. One would almost wish the old world customs back again, in order to see our fat friend doing a solitary afternoon stewing in the stocks with the savory, flavor of a nicely cooked pasty within a few yards of his nose.
