Akiteo Road Board.

A meeting of the Board was hold on Thursday last at Aohango, PresentMessrs Cox (Chairman), Handyside, Baker, and Livertou. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Treasurer reported balance in bank M 4s 6d, and balance available for future expenditure £ll4 7s 9d. Accounts amounting to £ 109 2s Gd were passed for payment. Correspondence read.-From County Clerk, re Board's taking over the maintenance of County roads after 31st March next, From Education Commissioner, re rates on Education Be-, serve. From County Clerk, re expending balance in hand on County road, from Whakataki to Waimata.-

The Clerk of Works' report was ead and considered,

It was resolved that tlio County Council be informed that this Board is not prepared to take over the maintenance of County Roads on, their handing over the special rate. That the Clerk write to the Castlepoint Road Board, seating that this Board agrees to the cost of surveys being deducted from tlio amount now due to this Board,

That the Clerk write to tlio County Council, and forward schedule as prepared, showing where the amount in hand should bo expended on County roads. The next meeting was fixed for the 19th April, and the Board adjourned,
