Mauriceville Road Board.

TnE ordinary meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday, February 25th, 1888. Present- \7illiani Jessen jKjhairroiin), H. W. Jackson, John "nnister, diaries Forsberg, and Guilder Gundersen. The minutes of the last meeting wore read and confirmed, The outward correspondence was read. Correspondence inwards— From Commissioner of Crown Lands, ro expenditure of deferred payment thirds. From John Yonngson enclosing a,plan of a bridge to his section, and offering to build the same for the sum of £'2o. From Commissioner of Crown Lands, approving of the Board's proposal for expending the Deferred Payment Thirds, From Arthur Eawson, re expending money or. road leading to Brandon's estate. The following tenders were received for contract No 17—forming an eight feet bridle track, 59.25 chains:—John Mutrio 3s 6d per chain (informal); John Yonngson, £24 (accepted); Jens Winter, £33; F, Hansen, £36; N, Neilsen junr., £44 14s; F, Petersen, £47; Cilius Petersen, £4B; J, McJmor, £sl; D.'Johansen, £53105; CTMadsen, £56; P, C. Madsen, £SB; Hans P. Hansen, £59; Ilemy Stevens £59 OS; Neilsen and Petersen, £6O; k - George Hayes, £62 15s; James Hanley, £69 13s j Canute Hnnberg, £75. It was resolved that Mr J. Yonngsou's offer to build a bridge be accepted, but subject (o some alterations, as suggested by the Chairman, Resolved to inform the County Council that this Board is prepared to undertake the maintenance of the main road, provided the County hand over the separate rate collected in the district, and a proportionate share of the money collected by the Forty Mile Bush tolls. Resolved to inform Mr Kawson that the Board would expend a sum of £3O on the road leading to Brandon's estate, provided the estate would carry out its proposals. Accounts amounting to £2l 5s 6d were passed for payment. Messrs Gundersen and Bannister were appointed to sign cheques, This concluded the business,
