Alfredton Domain Board.

t ' - 1 v The first meeting of this Board was held on Wednesday the 15th inst. Present Messrs Kebbell, Napier, Marsh, Pimm, Benton, and Smith. Mr Kebbell was. unanimously e'ected Chairman. The orders in Council as «}zetted, were read, in which the creation Ground was brought under the" Public Domains Act 1881," and the members of the Road Board appointed to manage tho same, to be known as tho "Alfredton Domain Board." Mr Good waited on the Board requesting permission to shift a fence on tho boundary between his property and tho recreation ground. Resolved that the Board cannot in the meantime deal with the matter, but will communicate with Mr Good later on, It was resolved to pass a resolution bringing the Board under the provisions of the " Public Bodies Powers Act, 1887," to enable the Board to deal with the recreation ground more to the advantage of the district, Resolved that a notice bo posted warning the public against lighting fires or burning on the Recreation Ground. Next meeting was decided for the 28th inst,
