- Wellington, February 24. . Mr Nathanial Isaacs, formerly an auctioneer here, but lately proprietor,of the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel, died this morning after, a brief- illness, The deceased had been suffering from typhod .fever' ancl pleuresy,
Captain Wildinan's Death. Thames, February 24. Captain Wildnian, of the Naval Artillery Volunteers died this morning after an illness extending over twelve months. He was sixty years of age, He will be accorded a military funeral on Sunday,. , ■' FI SB Si . Blenheim, February 24. A small brewery owned by Mrs Barry, but worked by Mr Eamsay, was burnt down at three o'clock this morning, and a cottage adjoining, owned by Mrs Barry was nearly destroyed. - An inquest will probably be held.
Yesterday a six roomed cottage, belonging to John Eeupen was burnt, and two rooms used as a dairy were nearly destroyed.. ,£26 in notes, and £25 worth of cheques were consumed, but the furniture was saved.
