SERIOUS ACCIDENT.

Louis Simon Nearly Killed,

At about two o'clock this morning, Mr Bragging, the nightwatcliman, reported to the police that a man was lying on the road between the Waipoua and Euamnhunga .bridges, and that he was insensible and much injured, seemingly by a fall from his horse. Sergeant Price preceded to the spot, taking with him Dr Milne, and afterwards the injured man, who was found to be Louis Simon, who is in the employ of Mr 6.
