Barque Wrecked at Lyttelton Heads. Christchurch, January 27. The May Queen went, ashore at Lyttelton Heads yesterday, and is still on the reef. It is considered doubtful whether she will get off. She was badly strained during tow water. Out of 1800 tons of general cargo, 150 have been got out. Five lighters are engaged in salvage. It is expected that if the weather continues fine, most of the cargo will he saved.
Two Fires. Dunedin, January 28. Bell's Flaxmills at Inch Clutha were destroyed by fire; loss, £2OO, no insurance. The Coroner's Jury found that the fireat.Catlin's River Hotel was the result of incendiarism.
