As it was about 500 persons were on the ground, and despite an interruption of an hour at the start owing to the rain, the .various events were got off with commendable promptitude andjwere all well .competed fori The Greytown Brass Band was on the, ground, and supplied the musical portion of the programme,-and Messrs Fabian and Grigg conducted the publican's and refreshraent booth respectively. Tarious otherstalls and games awe well represented, and one anajpll seemed to be doing as much business as could be expected in such gloomy weatlier.
