Rough on Monkeys, Sidney, January 16. ; A firo broke out in the monkey ' house at the Zoological Gardens yesterday, and resulted in its total destruction. A numher of monkeys, rare birds, and snakes belonging to a valuable collection were destroyed. Mining Speculation, Activity in mining stock still continues here and at Melbourne, but the prices are receding.
