R.M. COURT.

MASTERTON—MONDAY. (Before Messrs E. Meredith and W. Lowes J. P.'s) Mary Conroy v. T. A. Lyons.— Claim £1 10s, services rendered. Defendant di dnot appear, and judgment was given for plaintiff for amount claimed and-costs. Clias J. R'eeth v. Issaac Pike.— Claim £2 2s for professional services and buggy hire. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for amount and costs. Wm Whitt v A.W.Hogg, claim £2O 15s for goods supplied. Mr Beard for plaintiff, Mr Bunny for defendant* The plaintiff wished to strike off the odd 15s, so as to bring the case under the jurisdiction of the Justices, the defendant objecting. The Court ruled that the amount sued for could not be altered. The case was then adjourned to 30th inst, Wm Downes v Henry Johansen, claim for £5 8s board and lodging of defendant at Union Boarding House. Mr Skipper for plaintiff and Mr Bunny for defendant. Judgment for amount claimed and costs. In the charge against John Tuck charged with selling liquor at Eketahuua in prohibited hours, the case was dismissed, Mr Tuck mentioning that lie had held a permit for extra hours signed by three members of the licensing committee, William Mawhinay v, Arthur Phillips, Claim for a month's wages at 30s a week. Judgment was given for plaintiff, at the rate of 25s a week and costs. j (Left Sitting).
