COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Lowes & lorns report at their stock sale yesterday they yarded 120 head of cattle, 1300 sheep, besides horses, pigs fa. The cattle were principally large steers and speyed cows and heifers, winch showed a slight improvement in price, all selling under the hammer. AH sheep with the exception of two pens of ewes and lambs sold under tho hammer. In sheep there was.no marked improvement. Horses were dull of sale, pigs brisk. The following are the prices obtained:—Forward bullocks £4 ss; medium steers £3; small beef £3 (o M ; small steers 40s to 50s. speyed cows and heifers 20s to 50s; small heifers 30s; calves 12s 6d; store .wethers 5s to 5s Cd; dry ewes 4s; fat ewes ss; mixed sheep 4s; ewes and lambs Gs Od to 8s 3d; horsos.£2 to £6 j pigs 7s Cd to 12s
