Sydney, December 17. It has transpired that the Rev J. Jones tyas removed ffoin l{arj by the qi'der of .tho Governor of New Caledonia, on the ground that his actions were of such a nature as to compromise public order and loyalty of the inhabitants of the islands. A similar order for his removal was given from France two years ago, but was neglected to be acted upon. The "Rev Mr Jones professes ignorance of any action of his leading to his expulsion, and has protested through the Governor- of this colony tp |he British Foreign Office, claiming compensation from, tho Government.
