CORRESPONDENCE.

THE CALEDONIAN SPORTS.

TO THE EDITOK. Sir, —The Caledonian, Society have prepared a very good programme lor their annual sports, which will no doubt be appreciated by tho athletes of the Wairarapa, but owing to the present state of the Park Oval, several will be debarred from taking a part in the gathering, through want of a training ground. There is no track, the grass being aearly as tall as the fence, and if something is not done immediately, the ground will be too rough to run on at all. If a track were mowed now, trainers would.be enabled to beat it into something like order by the day of the Sports.—l am &c. Athlktic.
