BOATING DISASTER.
Dunkdin, sth December. By news received from Martin's Bay it appears that Captain Brebner flate of Port Clmlmors), Walter Richardson, Carl Wolfe, and Ed ward. Perry were drowned there. They were all in their boat. The boat was afterwards seen smashed to pieces, but no traces of the occupants could be found. Captain Brebner has a family at Port Chalmers and Richardson belongs to Otago, but nothing is known of tho others.
AD GEL AND CRIMINAL SESSION. • Auckland, December 6. The criminal sessions of the Supreme Court were open to-day by Mr Justice Gillies. There are 24 cases, including Clegg, charged with manslaughter, and Miiry O'Connor, charged with manslaughter. The others ore less serious.
