NORTH COUNTY COUNCIL.

Cbaaobsiiain, F,' Maunsell, D, Crewe, and F, yon Risden.. The Eottirning Officer—Mr F, G. Jlooro—having notified the results of the recent .elections, Cr Mackay .was-re-elected Chairman on the; motion of Cr Crowe, Seconded by 'Cr Maunsell.,' Cr Mackay, in returning thanks for tho honor conferred; said .lie anticipated that the proposed alteration , in tlie boundaries and representation -of' the district would, bring about another election an early date; -when lie would' b'e pleased to give, away to . a. new chairman. made;— Representatives on the Charitable Aid Board—Cra Mackay, Beetliam and Dagg. Inspectors' of Slaugh'terlionses —Master ton, Constable not; Timii, Constable Collerton; Eketahuna, Constable Eoach. In answer to Cr Crewe the Chairman said that a statement of receipts and expenditure of the Paliiatua riding would be prepared in due course. The following resolutions' were passed: That the Engineer be instructed to report upon the best raeaps to protect that part'of the Tinui-Alfredton Eoad known as the Jlack Swamp through Messrs Lang:don's property from, .the damage caused-bythe Whareama River, That the. ; Eketahuna Eoad Board be authorised to form and- metal thirty, chains of .the -Eketahuna-Tinui Eoad under the .superintendance of ;the Engineer That steps be taken to loan, of £IO.OO. for metalling, portions' *of the main.road between the Mungapakeha andTinmY
