LAND BOARD.

A meeting of the above Board was held at their offices yesterday morning (Thursday), there being present— Messrs J. W, A. Marchant (Commissioner of Crown Lands), H. Bunny, G. Beetham, M.H.R., W. W. McCardie, and A. Reese. Sohedule No. 207 of lands sold was read and confirmed. The applications for leases sinoe last meeting covered an area of 4808 acres at an upset price of £5828 16s sd.

The following applications to transfer were' approved:—Seotion 20, Black IX., I'ohaugina, J, Symonds to 13. Pollock; section 12, Blook XV., Mangahaone, E. F. Davis to R. F. Davis, and T. J. Wooldridge; section 44, Huntervilla, G, Graoe to W. Wilson.

The application of Mr N. P. Jensen to capitalise the unpaid instalments on section 21, Block XI., Mangaone, was approved; also, the application of Messrs Buckley, Stafford; and Treadwell on behalf of Mrs Simpson for permission to capitalise. and complete the payments on section 89, Block 111, Oroua. The Commissioner having informed the Board of the result of the late sale it was resolved to offer the Cash and •Small Buns sections/ not taken up, for application after 80 day's public notihe. ' . The selector of section 2, Block VII. Mangaone, wrote objecting to his interest in the section being seized by the Official Assignee on account of bis being a "bankrupt. Resolved :to forward to Mr Walsh a copy of the letter to, the Deputy Official Assignee. •...

An.application by Mr D. Egan with reference to obtaining a lease of certain land was not approved. ■ Lease sections Block V., for permission to effeot all his improvements on one of the sections. It was resolved that for "the present .he will be allowed to do so.
