The second race between tho ytit'chsj Thistle and Volunteer was sailed today. At the start the weather was foggy,.with a fresh breeze, and when half the course had boen sailed the .Volunteer was leading by 17 minutes, and was gaining rapidly from tho Thistle, which appeared to be carrying too much canvas. On the run home ■ the wind increased to half a gale/ and a heavy sea was encountered,. which seemed to suit the Thistle, as she improved her position, but could never overtake the Volunteer, which won'by.
