Eeply: —There is no doubt but they have been extravagant in their travel-, ling expenses, Here Mr Hogg quoted figures similar to what appeared a short time ago in the Daily as to the cost to the country of Sir' R, Stout, Mr Ballance and the Minister of Public Works.

Do you think the purchase of the district railways and the Charitable Aid Bill a creditable transaceion ?

Reply The district railway were constructed by the Atkinson Ministry and were left as a bad legacy to the Stout-Yogel Government. .Mr 'Hogg made no reply in reference to the Charitable Aid Bill.
