NEW BUILDINGS.

Messrs Brown Rodgora and Nees havo just completed a ten roomed dwelling house in Dixon street for Mr L.. J. Hooper, which adds another to the many- first class buildings: on tbe Dixon estate. The rooms are large, and lofty,. the sitting-room, being seventeen feet square, dining; room. 15x17, and .epioMiig room 17x10.. ..These.aie situated on the north side of the house, the two •latterhavihg French casements open.-, ing on to the verandah. The wnole of tho bedrooms are on the south sidej the principal one being the same aize • as the j sitting room, .and. is fitted with a .registered grate. The kitohen is. fitted witli one of Luke. & •Boris'. Wellington Banges, which' : appear to be growing in general fovor. In the baok part of the premises there is a bathroom, servants bedroom, pantry and scullery, the whole place being arranged; to the very best advantage for a family residence. Gas fittinga-have been placed throughout the building by Mr 1). Pickering, the paperhanging and painting, being exeouted iu Mr Nicholls best style. Mr E. Wrigley was the architect, and has managed to oombine comfort and oon.venienco in the struoture, two leading essentials in the construction of family ■ residences.
