LAND BOARD.

Tho usual fortnightly meeting of the above Board was held at the Land Board office, Wellington, on Thursday morning, when .there were presentMessrs J. W, A. Marchant (chairman) H. Bunny, G. Beetham, W. W. McUardle, W. A. Filzherbert, A. Reese. The schedule showed that the land disposed of since last meeting amounted to 569 acres, valued at £607. The application of- Mr A. Meads to transfer section 10, Block X, Mangaone, to Mr J. Croft was granted. Mr J. Taylor applied to capitalise unpaid instalments, on section ,121, Block XIV, Mangaone. • He also applied for a small piece, of jand- between bis -6.ection.r2i and tho main road, ilie former application was granted, and in referenco to the lattor it was resolved to offer the laud required on deferred payment at 40a per acre. Mr Phillips' wrote .with reference to his application for part of tho Grown lands adioining Ins property at Dry River, which could not. be offered owing to want of road access/ Mr Bnuny moved" aod Mr •Beetham. seconded that a survey bc| "wade-of the laud and the same offered at auction at fl-'per. acre,, being the lowest price the 'law' allows, for cash, In; dealing with Mr H. WitlbV regard to the application of the Wellington Special Settlement, Association for accrued thirds proposed fo bo* expended on roads within their block, it, was resolved on the motion of .Mr Bunny, seconded by. Mr lleese, that the proposals be finally approved. Mr H.Axup wrote with reference to' the survey of hss small run to the Mnnitoi. and Pohaogina Districts, and road into the same, and it was resolved to have a survey made as soon .'as possible. The Commissioner reported in reference to tbe application made by Mr T, Salter for part of Bmall run No. 35, Mangakareta Block, that there van no
