TOWN LANDS TRUST.
' , The ordinary monthly meeting of - the Mastertoii Town Lands Trustees • • was held last evening at the Institute, Present—Messrs Feist (chairman), W. Perry, W. Lowes, h. Chamber'.lain, T. Parsons, and E, Hare. Correspondence was read from the school commissioners, stating 'that conveyance of the education reserve of ton acres in Mastertoii had been executed. Tho Secretary of the Mastertoii School Committee wrote and . jtoplained that the purpose for which pSe .sum cf £SU was required, was, gravelling £25, library fund ,115, gymnastic appliances, £lO. It was . resolved'that the amount applied for •be granted. The Femridge School Committee applied for a grant of £2O, including a bonus of £5 for the pupil teacher. Under the peculiar circumstances of the case, the latter amount was voted to the School Committee to enable them to give the bonus to the teacher, as the Trustees did not think it a part of their duty to provide bonuses to teachers.' The map of the subdivision of sections 27 and 29, '(;■. ■" Dixon's estato was placed before the Trustees and approved of. The Chairman and Messrs Perry and Hare was appointed to fix reserves and arrange for the disposal of the land. It was moved by Mr Hare and seconded by Mr Parsons—That owing to the difficulty in settling the site for- •■■ a second school for Mastertoii and in jfrder to secure for the town a suitable for a school the Town Lands Trustees hereby offer to the Education Board one acre of Trust Lands in Ban • nister street as a site for a period of 21 . years at a rental of £5 per annum, and that a copy of the resolution be sent to the Education Board. After a brief discussion the motion was lost. , The meoting then adjourned.
