.The monthly meeting was held on August lat. Present -Meisrtt Haw. kiiiß (chuirmnn), Hood, RiitherfcMis Perry, and Miller. The formed the meeting that tho general rate had duly advertised. The rate
was ordered to be payable on the .Ist October. The Chairman reported that he had inserted notice of a special rate of 3-stbs of a penny in the £ on tho whole of the lands chargeable with the coats of works for tho road on tha Qlendonald-Wairere line. Resolved that the action of tha Chuirmau be cow- e ■firmed. Jt was resolved that a special ,ffe meeting be held on Wednesday, 17th ' r August, to pass a. reeoluiion constituting a special order as notified under tho ■.'.■■ hand of tho Chairaaau, It was resolved . that, (be Chairman be authorised to collect the general and special rate when made. An application From Mi' • Wingate for £2 to open a ford across the Taueru and 30s to clear elip3 on Tiiaumen track waa granted.
