London, July 22, The Erain Pasha Belief Committee 'discredit the report of the death of Mr Stanley. The.. National Press in Ireland defies .the Imperial Government to. suppress, the Land League or enforce the Crimea Bill. General Boulauger is reported to have'declared that the Royalists on two occasions attempted to take part in an attempt to overthrow the French Republic. LbDdon was startled yesterday by the publication of a report-that the Prince of Wales was dead. Prompt enquiry showed the statement to be unfounded, and it was at once contradicted. The origin of tho report is unknown. England won the Elcho Shield competition at "Wimbledon. Lieut Warren's score was 274 not 210, . .. •Iu the House of Lords yesterday, Lord (Harris, replying to Lord. Sand, hurst; said the Government was unwilling to assist the emigration of army pensioners to New Zealand. Lord Kosoberry said he understood the New Zealand authorities nvere willing to receive these pensioners, and hoped the Government would reconsider their decision. Lord Onslow said the Government would ba glad to assist the movement, but obstacles in its way'were numerous, and not easily overcome.
