The Committee deserve every praise for the admirable manner in which their programme was carried out.
A meeting was held at the Road Board Office on Saturday afternoon, for thepurpqseof forming a committee in the interests of Mr G. Beetham, M.H.R., and was well attended. Mr R. .Mau'nsell was voted to the chair, and Mr MoHutchon elected secretary. The committee meet again in & fortnight's time, to report progress. • A branch of the Tinui and Castlepoint library has been established at Whareama. Birkett hag kindly offered to act as custodian, and will receive subssriptions and,distribute hooks. I understand the new books ordered from Melbourne are now in Wellington, so we ought to expect them very shortly..
