R.M. COURT.
MASTEETON-MONDAY, (Boforo S. Von Stuemer, 1 R.M.,) ALLEGED PRIVATE STILL, John AlcDormott, of the Tauoru, was charged, on the information of Sergeant Price, with having an unlicensed still and apparatus for distilling spirits in his possession. Accused, who was defended by Mr Beard, pleaded not guilty. Sergeant .Prico stated that ho had seized a boiler, and tho greater part of a siill apparatus ort defendant's premises, also some whiskey and wash. He asked His Worship for a remand until Monday next, at 2 o'clock, as he was not fully prepared with bis case.
His Worship granted the remand, and on tho application of Mr Beard, bail was allowed in two sureties of £125 each, and defendant's own recognisance ofm
FOOIj chimney. J. J. Ereeth admitted that a chimney in his house in Lincoln road was alight yesterday, and was fined 5s without costs,
