Sir—ln your report of the meeting of landowners at Tinui on the 25th inst, there is an error I presume of the part which, for tho credit of tho Rabbit Dopavtmeut of the Government. lam Borry to havo to correct. The Fpport fis priiitedis tjst tjif? quqting returns before the Parliampnt states that w'pro in East Wairmpa 127,000 acres of unoccupied .Crown lands not badly infestod; it should have been there were 127,000 acres badly infested, and 7,G00 not badly infested, but dangerous. The report as printed by you is not creditable to the Department, as the facts are it is most disgraceful.
