The Divorce Act Amendment Bill was'strongly opposed by Messrs Grace, Bucldey, Richmond, and others Mr Richmond moving that it be read that day six months. Messrs Brett, Oliver, .Scotland, and Bamicoat gave more or less .partial support.. ' j Ms : Reynolds observed that the lopposition seemed to be against some of the the Bill'as a whole, and hoped it would be allowed to go into committee. ■ The amendment was carried by 12 to 10 and the Bill was thrown out.
