The evidence showed -that the accused and ayounger.boy| k son of the people. from \ whom the money, was fcakou, had gone intetty bouse and abstracted the rooney./'CHey' had spent some and then Lear had gone to the races; and when arreted ho was standing by a gaming table,, and had by this time only £2 on him. .Ab the hoy was too young to bo sent to gaol, and had evidently been tempted by the'otber lad, be was .sentenced to. six strokes of a birch.
