TENUI JOCKEY CLUB RACE MEETING.

[FSOJf OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.]' Trow, Maroh 4. • The first clay's racing of the Tinui Jockey Club came off yesterday, the weather up to 10 a,m, being showery, after which a breeze sprung up, the clouds dispersed, arid the day turned oat very sultry, About 200 persons were present on the course, and the whole of the day's proceedings passed off without accident or hitch of any kind marring the pleasure. Constables Collerton and O'Connor wore doing duty on tho course, but so orderly aud Bober were the assemblage that their sorvices were never once called into requisition. Zulu and.Halicoro wore first to got away and raced together, changing positions occasionally, until the last hurdle wa3 reached, when Halicore took the jump first and kept the lead, winning by three lengths, a similar distance separating Zulu and Oribbage.
