KURUPUNI SUNDAY SCHOOL. The annual gathering of the school and friends of the abovo school took piece at Kurupuni yesterday and was ftsnsuaU very successful rounion. In taeafternoon tlio children were treated to 'a; -picnic,in Mr Pybus' paddock •ffhej-Q amusements of all kinds, in- , ters|ered with refreshments, .were Werally provided. •'; After enjoying themselves to their lieaifts content • the'little ones'were regaled with a sub- ' stantial tea in the Hall,'which was-fol- • lowed by a parents and -friends tea- . meeting, The public meeting held subsequently was largely attended and then the Sunday, School children treated the audience to some well rendered choral selections which reflected s great credit upon their teacher, Mr Sydnoy Boult, who must have devoted considorablo timo in bringing the little ones to such proficiency. Mr Danielle read the' following report for tlio past year, which was adopted without discussion : . "We have to report another successful year in our school. Teachers and ■ ohildron have been regular and punctual in attendance, ..and under the 'vigilant superiiitondance of Mr Burton We have all worked harmoniously. Our numbers at the end of the yoar wore on.roll boys 49, girls 42, total 91, Teachers 12. Average attondanco: boys 88, girls 81,' total 68, bleachers 8. Our library contains 118 volumos, and thirty-two children mako use of tlio books, ■ A collection is made in the school'once each month for tho Home Mission Fund.
