SALE OF THOROUGHBRED YEARLINGS.

The annual sale of blood yearlings took place at Sylvia Park, Auckland, the estate of the New Zealand Stud Company, on the sth January, There was a attendance of bidders, 300 of whom went .out by the special tiain. Them, were 33 yearlings, three by Cap-a-pie, five by Lsolimid, one each by liuinea, Piscator,, .Robinson Crusoe, and twenty-two by Musket. Among these present were the .Hon. James Williamson, Messrs J. M. Otalkc, Mitclielson. M.HR,, Moirin and J. Rus;el (Directors of the Ktad Company), T. S, Chirnside (the well-known Victorian breeder), G, S, Tozer (of New South Wales), Gould (of the dustr,ila.<ian stall:'). Center (of Melbourne), Allan McLean, W. Douglas, and Tudesland (of Napier), l)u Cahvell and Conolly and Mr Wilkie (of Wanganui), the Hon ilr Robinson and Messrs Butler, Dowue, J. Vesey, of Canterbury , Harris, of Dunedin; Boobott, of the Thames; Pilbrow, Cutis, Ray, Lcunard, &c. At the outset of'tho sale, the auctioneer staled that the winnings of the Musket stack up to date were £70,0110, of which £18,500 was won last year.
