QUADRANGULAR RIFLE MATCH.
This match w,is fired at Greytmvn on Saturday last between teams representing the Masterton. Greytown, Featlierston and Newtown Rifles, and resulted in a win for tho Masterton team by 27 points, Grey town second, Featlierston third and Newtown last. The weather was very unfavorable for pood shooting as will - be seen by many of the scores at 200 yards, Masterton led by 3 points at 1100 yards, Greyt 'wn led by seven points at 800 yards, but the Masterton team shot with confidence, pulling 3-1 points, and thus won by' 27 points. The Newtown team was unable to firo right through owing to the time being limited and had to fire off at three hundred yards to catch the train. The ranges weie 200,300, and 500 yards. 7 shuts..
