TARATAHI-CARTERTON ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary monthly meeting of the abovo Board was held on Saturday. Present-Messrs B. Boys (Chairman) H. R. Bunny, N. Grace, E. W. Dorset, J. Rayner, W. Parker and James Stevens The mlnutos of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Oorreßponde'nco was read from Mr E. Morgan re fencing road which the Board has laid oil through his property. It was resolved that the request be acceded to. Prom Mr Anderson re the road at Woodside. From Mr Joe. Archer, informing the Board that he had disposed of his property and that the present owner's name be placed on tho rate book in the place of his. From Messrs Hodgins and Ray asking that transfer of certain lands be made in the rate-book.: alao from Messrs Smith andNeilsenre the same. All the requests wore acceded to. From Colonial Treasurer re the loan advising the Board to reduce their application to £3OOO, as over that amount could not be entertained.

Application from J. Blondquist re transferring some land to 0. Blondquist. The application being informal no action was taken.

It was resolved that certain persons on the Taratahi be requested to remove the gorse which is on the roads.
