WAIRARAPA WEST COUNTY COUNCIL.
The annual. meeting of the above waa held at the Council Chambers Carterton, on Saturday. Present. —Oh W. Booth (Chairman) H, Bunny, C. Phillips, H. R. Bunny, W. C. Buchanan, fl. Braithwaite, and J. Tully, The firat business being to elect the Chairman for the ensuing yoar, it traa moved by Cr H. Bunny and seconded by Or Braithwaite, that Cr Booth bo reelected Chairman for the ensuing year. Carried unanimously. Cr Booth returned thanks for the confidence placed in him by the Councillors in conferring the honor on him. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Moved by CrH, Bunny seconded by Cr Tully that Mr Croot be written to informing him that if he pay _ the insurance which is now due he be given; three months to pay up the rent which is also overdue. .•, : , Cr H. Bunny was elected to represent this district on the Wellington District United Charitable Aid Board, Correspondence from Joseph Dawson asking that the Council will favorably consider the losa which he has sustained through the floods, and. also in reference to a whafe which he haii erected. The minutes of the publio works Committee were read and confirmed. The engineer's report was read and dealt with. In reference to a bridge over the Waiohine river at Matarawa, and that the plan and specifications be left with left theGreytown Borough Council for one month, and then to-Mr Gallon's residence for one month, and then returned.to this Counoil, Cr Phillips moved and Or Bu\ chanan seconded that the above plan' be adopted. . ~;<j . Tully, that after all'charges were paid'in respect to the 'Wainuioru bridge, the balance, viz,, bo given to Mr Dsiwson for losseviw fcW sustained through tho floods. !
