Unitbd Press Association. ■ Auckland, November 13. Arrived, tho Island' Mail steamer Janet Nicol, with cargo of oranges and other fruits. She brings news of native outrages having occurred on board the Auoklaud schooner Jessie Nicol. on 24th Aug., while at anchor in Raratonga Har; bor, at 11 p.m. a largo gang of Nativeß boarded the schooner, and began to annoy the enhv. The cook was on shore, The son of the captain was first attacked, rendered unconscious by a blow ou the head, and brutally kicked, Captain Short and the crew rushed on deck, but being withoutweaponsand greatly outnumbered were separated, and all badly maltreated. Makea Tane, King of Atiau and the consort of Queen Makea of Raratonga, was with the Natives, and incited them to the outrage, shouting, " Kill the white piss." This king visited Auckland last year, and was entertained at Government expense. After doing a lot of damapo and purloining some of the stores, the natives went ashore andhadafeast. Acornplaint was laid before the British Consul at Raratonga, who fined Makea Tane 200 dollars, and ordered him to find a substitute for several injured men who had to be loft ashore. The oook's condition is so critical that his depositions were taken, but hehassincerocovered. H.M.S. Pelican has visited the Group and compelled the paymont of a fine. The captain also exacted a lino of 300 dollars from the natives of the Nutiaro Island, who in August last committod an outrage on the captaiu of the Auckland Schooner Atlantic by tying him to a tree. Captain Short's narrative haa been obtained via Tahiti, but the Jessie Niqcol is expected to arrivo at Auckland shortly. When the steamer left Tahiti Earl .Dubley's steam yatch was there m mite for Auck-. land, Wellington, and Sydney; also *Dr Phelps' schooner yatch Brenhilda, which is expected to visit this colony,
