United Press Association. Dunedin, This day. Justice Johnston having disposed of three other cases, Hall and Houston were brought to the dock. Both looked pale and anxious, Hall's face being especially careworn. For the Crown, the AttorneyGeneral, with him Mr White, the Crown Solicitor of Tmafu, and Mr Martin, of Chriatchurch; for tho defence, Mr Joynt, with him Mr C. Perry for Hall; Mr Hay for Miss Houston. Mr F. H. Barnes was chosen foreman of the special jury. The Registrar, read the indictment, which charged the prisoners, that on August 15, at Timaru, they did administer to Kate
Emily Hall, certain deadly poison to kill and'murder. 'The second count charged, that they did cause to bo Administered, a large quantity of antimony... The third count was, that they did caused antimony' to bo taken by Kate EJnaily Hall. Both the accused pleaded V-Not. Guily;" but their- pleadings were scarcely audible,
